Good for my arthritic hands but hair does occasionally catch hair around the rivet. Tried putting a dot of nail polish over it to minimise risk as if caught, cant get longer hair out out and ends up pulling hair out. Otherwise the snap clips are the answer as I can no longer use bobby pins
